Book Jamming Studios Online

so based on what xlayar said,if we're based fully online, the liabilities is "bandwidth/maintenance to make sure the programming/uptime is constant",if we still use half phone half internet.it can still function well but the costs incurred would be telephone bills.

Why don't for every studio that is collaborating with you, you give them cards/paper printed with serial numbers that can only be used once.
When you jam there the first time, have to call but after that, when you get the number, can book online.
Another way is to record down the IPs of all those idiots who no show..
I don't think you would go lan to prank someone?

how abt this, you can do it like world of warcraft.
jammers wanna book online? well buy a pre-paid card with a certain value and code thingy, before you book your slot, key in your unique id code and value will be deducted based on the number of hours.
And i don't think you have to worry abt paying "ez-link" millions for their patented technology cos you can just do it with just normal "paper" cards. Just need a database to track down the different ids with the number of hours left. Once the hours run out, jammers go back to the studio and "top-up"
I think this may be the most cost-effective option. Even if prankers call or "no show" bands, the studio does not lose out.
Well i did have a cop friend who had to attend to a scam call. Apparently the jilted ex-gf of the victim sent a 200 dollar order of mcdonalds to the victim's house. They had 3 delivery riders outside the doorstep and guess wht, the ex-gf had also called to send male escorts and strippers to his doorstep, imagine the hilarious chaos.

i would love to show you guys how the site functions since all the backend is already functional. The only issue is that it looks like crap right now bcos i haven't found a designer.

-- On the site admin panel, i have access to all users who register and their particulars. theoretically i will be able to affirm every user through that, except it would take up a lot of time. i will look into this since applying this approach to minimize spammers is not a huge leap away and definitely worth more study. thanks for the suggestion.

CONS:TROUBLESOME(for studio owners)
expect lotsa bandwidth to be taken up
-- Yes the site already has this function. all you need to do is click on the studio you want to book, the room you require and the date you want. a calendar will appear showing you which slots are still available and which slots have been taken up. Initial demo tests have shown that the calendar function is working well and ready for launch.
As for the CONS of it being troublesome to the studio owners, there will be no trouble at all for the studio. if the studio has access to internet, affirming their booking is a simple matter of clicking approve when they receive email notification of the booking. if they don't have internet access, the site will contact the studio through phone and update the studio times for them.

My vision for the site is to make it as hassle free and user-friendly as possible. just go online, click, book. no need to buy or pay anything in advance. Still, i would look into this option if the problem of spamming and pranks overwhelms the advantages of the system.
