Bodyless guitar

heh going OT here.
im not too big a fan of effects...i only have 4 boss pedals...SD-1, BD-2, MT-2, MZ-2...basically all various forms of OD and distortion...and a behringer GDI21.
i've long gone pass my phase of having chorus', flangers, pitchshifters, phasers etc...its now good distortion or nothing at all :P
amps also im happy enough with practice amps like my kustom tube12, i dont see the practical aspects of having a 50w tube amp in my room :P

I gave up guitar after 1 lesson from my friends. Too damn painful for my fingers....or I'm just too gu niang lah....

The silent guitar is sooo chio...

But I won't buy such an expensive one until I decided to learn and can play decently.....or else I won't be able to do justice to the guitar if I'm crappy.

Thread Starter, you are starting to learn how to play the guitar?

Pardon my frankness... beginners should get a much lower cost full body guitar instead. At the very least, you can play the thing without having to buy an acoustic amp.

It's most painful at the beginning. Search your heart whether you really love playing the guitar. If you really love it, you have the motivation to keep practising in spite of the pain.

Practice for one hour a day. Focus on the fun and not the pain. Stop for a while if it becomes unbearable. Then carry on again after resting a little. Within 3-6 months, your finger tips would become more hardened / seasoned. The longer you keep at it, the stronger and less sore your fingers would be.

For a start, you could also choose nylon guitar strings with a lower tension. Don't have to press so hard to hold the strings down.
