I think that the album, Blessed are the Sick by Morbid Angel, is one the best thing that I have ever heard.

What do you guys think of it?

It is an excellent album, and I think not one band till today has matched it in any way....it was quite a surprise with its sludge like tempos and guitar style in comparison to Altars of Madness which still had a thrash like atmosphere....

Yeah, the tempos changes are especially impressive. Taking note that it was released in 1991.

FYI- ever wondered why Bless Are the Sick saw a drop in tempo considering that the predecessor, Altars of Madness, was an acceleration embrace?

Answ: Confessor- prior to its release, Morbid Angel played with them. the late Ivan Colon & company (then playing Confessor's debut LP, Condemned), showed that the flip side to intensity- restrain- is another crucial perspective to aggressive music.

My 1st Morbid Angel Album and a thumbs up too!!!
Theres one track which sound very prehistoric abit to me. Very Jurassic-park like.

But then, i think this is one of the best album ever by Morbid Angel.
