I'm in a dilema for which i should get , i play alot of melodeath and have never played on a stage , but i want to in future . So which amp do you think would be better? Also if i actually use a mic to record from both amps , would it sound muddy/fuzzy? I would also like a very nice clean tone! If possible , i'd like my amp to be as versatile as possible but still have a nice high gain/distortion like tone.
Or perhaps you may want to recommend me another amp.
Comments and thoughts would be appreciated.

i would suggest you go try both amps but for me, I'm leaning towards the HT-5 as I once own it. It can give u both the american and british sound to add to your versatility. However the Ht-5 might need some boost as you are playing melodeath. Ts-9 or Ts808 will help boost the gain and add to your sound.

Ht-5's cleans are not too bad for me. Maybe you can consider the orange dark terror as well.

The ht-5 has a boring distortion imo, it sounds nice for awhile, then it starts to get really boring.
It's weird because my blackstar ht-dist doesn't do that, but all the blackstar amps i've tried does that, like sick of hearing the same sound.
Just my opinions.

The dark terror does 80's style rock/metal best. Best if you bring your TS style pedal and try to boost it to see whether you can get a more modern sound or not. You can try it at Sound Alchemy
