BKP Rebel Yell

I have no doubt that bareknuckles pickups are great.... and those soundclips sounded damn good.

but let put things in perspective, if the soundclip alone is played without any preconceived notion that there are bareknuckles pickup in it...

1) Damn that amp sounds pretty damn good! Tube, solidstate, boutique, digital emulation? Tell me more!!!
2) Damn that guitar sounds pretty damn good! Gibson? Heritage? Caparison? Suhr? Valley Arts? Tell me! The tone is HUUUGGGEEEE!
3) Damn that guitarist sounds pretty damn good! Who is he man?! He RAWWWKKSSS!
4) Damn that recording sounds pretty damn good! Did he record direct? What mics did he use? How many mics? Tube mic preamps? Digital or tape? Tell me moreeee!!!!

You get my drift?

I think you should just go buy and try. :)

We don't know how really truely good they are - we can't even answer Edder's questions.

So really dude, if you think you like what is described on the website - go for it. Then compare and come back to let us know your experience.

I would do more research though - find people who have used them, look up online reviews and stuff, you know, the usual? But for this instance, I will specifically want COMPARISONS. With another pickup I have used before.

Note that the guitar matters.. so if you have a guitar that's bassy, then you know... that pup might sound awesome on clips but you got the wrong guitar for it.

Anyway, if you're into the whole... handwound thing... check out highorder pickups. I think they are priced cheap and so that's way more reasonable than what BKK charges.
