Best stock metal pedal in the market

my vote goes to the line6 uber metal. thicker, and less fuzzy than the metalzone. also has a built-in noisegate. how cool is that. It's also built like a supertank.

zoom tri-metal,but discontinued.
i've yet to see a "metal" pedal that actually cuts it when compared to good old cranked tube amp distortion. the zoom is ridiculously heavy with tonnes of low end but really needs to be mated with pre/post EQ for best results.

lol. Joking ya

yup the GT2 looks great it is super versatile can get fender blue sounds, can get that traditional marshall sound, can get metal sounds can get jazz sounds...super cool man...

i tried the behringer one that time, damn cool, but i expect the gt2 to be MUCh better

i always felt the Sansamp GT2 can do classic rock-kinda metal, but i never feel it can do modern metal/numetal sounds. It simply sounds way more rock than metal (perhaps because of its voicing). Which isn't too bad... the GT2 rock sound captures that AC/DC "Back in Black" intro well enough!

I think the Zoom Hyper Lead or Tri-Metal can easily get a metal sound, because you can dial the midrange frequency to your tastes. So you kinda get a mini-EQ installed in the pedal itself. :)

jekyll&hyde with an od pedal (ts808, sparkle drive, od-1) boosting it..you can get very nice fat nu-metal sounds and you can also clean it up but retain some grit.

For its price, the DOD American Metal Distortion FX56 is also quite good.

Often overlooked but it can be the best value for money if you know how to use it.
