SOME BANDS PERFORM AT 2005 MIDI FEST(okay,just a small part)

BRAIN FAILURE---best punk band in china

REFLECTOR---also well-known to chinese punk fans

MUMA---this band has a large fanbase

HANG ON THE BOX---one of the best chinese female punk band(although im not a fan of them)

SOUND TOY---their music is just as beautiful as poem

BU YI---new folk

YAKSA---graduated from Midi Music School now famous for its strong beats

MISERABLE FAITH---they can make you pogo all the time

XIE TIAN XIAO---he's totally alternative.....so kick ass!

JOYSIDE---young punk band ever struggling for life but never stop chasing their dream

AK-47---formed in 2000,they have the same dress when performing...and a band can really cheer you up!

I remember hearing them like 5-6 years ago and Zhang Ya Dong was one of the members or producer.

Geez, my order for American Dreams got delayed!!!!

I ordered 3 CDs and 1 DVD and A.D was in one of them.. all were sent to me except for A.D!!!! So sad man! Hmph!

Btw, I remembered that Brain Failure changed the drummer rite? Wonder if that's before or after American Dreams...

Btw, anyone still remember Tang Dynasty? I used to own their tapes... now lookin for the CD.. anyone wanna sell theirs? I really dunno where to find this...

it's so sad.....but i believe AD will be sent to you anyways...dont worry :wink: i havent got it either...i asked my friend to look for it for me...anyways i will get it...they did perform some songs from the album last year at Midi Fest,haha...so i got a preview already

BrainFailure doesnt change their drummer but the bass player...it was Shi Xu Dong(before him it was David) and i guess he did the AD with the band.
but Shi Xu Dong has his own band SUBS(they do rock!!i love the female singer KANG MAO) and he's the drummer in SUBS...

so he left Brainfailure and only does his drummer work with SUBS now.but i really like his style!
and now the new bass player is Ma Ji Liang,he ever cooperated with Brainfailure before :wink: i believe he can handle everything.and he played as their official bass player during VAN WARPED TOUR this year.

of coz everybody who loves China rock wont forget Tang Dynasty and this year is the tenth year of the death of their bass player--Zhang Ju,and ROCK,one of the best rock music mags in China also makes him as the cover to memorize him.
during Midi Modern Music Fest this year,ppl made a banner to memorize this great bass player in the china rock history.(i posted the pic in this thread,you can check it)

Man.. i heard about the death of ZHang Ju... i was like still a teenager then..
They are the first ever Chinese Rock band i ever heard.
I've jus found a site to download their mp3. Now I can listen to them all over again!

Be careful though.. some songs state the title but when i downloaded it, they are from other singers....
Wish I've learnt my mandarin words well when I was younger!!! hahhhaa
