Best Drummer In The World

Woo have been watching some drumming videos lately. And my favourite drummer in none other than Inferno from Behemoth.

But according to ALOT of people, Mike Portnoy is the best drummer in the world.. Is this true?

And I would like to know some other good drummers than I can watch on Youtube. What are your preferences?

According to them, its not an opinion. When I commented on the Inferno video that he rule and everything, like, more than 8 people replied saying, "Nah he suck, Mike Portnoy is way better. He's already named the Best Drummer In The World".

I like Inferno, but I'd name Dave Lombardo as my favourite heavy metal drummer, and possibly also Joey Jordison as he has proved that he can play death metal as well (Roadrunner united). Note: Favourite. I didn't say best because everyone will have different opinions. What I like about Dave Lombardo is that he's a very solid drummer, has interesting drumbeats, and very consistent. He's a joy to watch, and he played on one of Testament's most intense albums, Demonic.

In my opinion, Bernard Purdie is the most soulful drummer I have ever seen. Technically and counting goes to Terry Bozzio.

I like Inferno. Very good technique and probably the world's fastest. That doesn't make him the best though.

I like Tomas Haake too. Has brilliant co-ordination and has the ability to create unique sounds with his cymbals.

Yoshiki is always my favourite drummer

1:Speed
2:Ideas
3:He can make and compose songs
4:He can play the pianon damn well
5:He always bring emotion to the music whenever he play live or in the recording
6:The art of life song was compose by him so far the best song to listen to during any kind of situation im in.
7:His music inspire many band across the world.

Actually there is no such thing as best drummer in the world but rather one of the best.It depends on your judgement criteria. Anyway, it is not necessary to know who is the best drummer in the world, it won't benefit you at all, every one has their own favourite drummer. I would you rather spend time practising.

I meant "best" drummer as in, "best" drummer in the world TO YOU. Doesn't mean it can only be one, it can be two, or three based on the genres they are playing in.
