Well, I didn't specifically jump unto Your back, did I? There were other post apart from yours as well.

What about Takamine??? They sound pretty good to me.

But if you are really determined, why not invest on sumthing better? Like a baby taylor, thats wad i did and im happy wif it :) although im still learning

There isn't a need to take up classical lessons if it is just for "strum/pick and sing".

Unless you're seriously interested in classical music, I don't really see a need to take up classical lessons unless you wanna learn flamenco strumming or those very "accent-ed" picking.

Big difference when you watch a classically trained person play say Romance d Amor VS. one who isn't.

Classical emphasizes a lot on posture, where you place your hand, your guitar, and how your wrist should arc or w/e, I think. - All these say-tell by my senior anyway :)
