Baybeats!- Who will you be catching? *edit* who did you catc

Plainsunset was superb as usual. Going airborne twice during their set made it extra sweeet for me. :D

But OH MAN did you guys catch B-Quartet's set? Except for a couple of feedback mishaps their set was so damn tight. And the ambience & vocals.. totally spellbound.

I nominate them for best act for Baybeats 2007. They really pushed audio boundaries when they played, and did it so well too. I was beginning to feel a little disappointed by the line up this year but B-Quartet pretty much single-handedly salvaged the experience for me.

My 2 cents. Anyone else care to share their thoughts on how this year's Baybeats was?

i guess my bestest Baybeats show has to be B-Quartet. oh and nice job Lukman and Siraaj if you guys are reading this

(:

Hi all,

Catch Zero Sequence at the Esplanade Powerhouse Stage for the Snakeweed weekend on Friday 10 August 2007. The progressive rock sextet with the diagonally tilted keyboards will be playing 2 sets starting at 2045hr with an assortment of classic rock tunes and songs from their upcoming release ‘Flight Of Transcendence”.

And the 6-piece B-Quartet will be opening for Zero Sequence at 1930hr, opening the weekend. They will be performing tunes from their upcoming full-length 'Tomorrow Is Our Permanent Address'.

"Park your heart inside with me..."

We've gotten a lotta comments from peeps that they love B-Quartet's 'Shoebox'. Wait till you hear the album version with the choir. Hurhurhur...

b-quartet was pure magic. it was amazing watching geniuses in action. my favourite was definitely shoebox. 'disjointed happy thoughts.'

the band that got me grooving was the fire fight. awesome, catchy, crowd-engaging stuff. and the girls were definitely going crazy over those ben sherman clothes. aha. had fun singing along those crazy wails, 'WHOA-OH-UW-OH!'

plainsunset was sheer enjoyment. 'you want one more?!'
and everyone ran back in for the encore. amazing.

actually Aloha was the last band on baybeats

too bad there wasnt a lot of people who got to watch them as they kicked ass especially the percussionist

those who were there know what i mean

no more moshing, just music hehe

btw i noticed a funny thing...

on the guys toilets in esplanade i saw a lot of tissue papers on the sink

at first i wondered why, but then i realized it had some eyeshadow thingie on them

so i guess its those kids wearing eyeshadows removing them before going home or their parents will kick their ass if they went home with that

i dunno i just found that amusing

hahaha. My friend's dad violently objects to him wearing eyeliner. Cause he thinks that my friend has problems and all. But who wants to look at you when you're in the crowd man? I mean i don't dress up specially just to go for a gig cause you still end up going home smelling worse than a fish. But my friend's like "you never know who you're gonna see at gigs. So must dress up" :smt017

caracal was awesome. I missed Deputy Siren though. If anyone has their videos please upload it onto youtube so those like me that missed their set can watch it on youtube:P

i've caught plain sunset on the first day (it was a super last minute thingy)

allura, deputy siren and a vancat affiar on the second day. all of em were tight and amazing!

was scheduled to catch b-quartet on the last day but i was feeling too tired and the thought of work (the next day) was a turn off. i didn't go. urgh.

p.s. sorry bani, work sucks horrendously. promise to catch you and yer band perform the next time yea?

what did you guys think of deputy siren's new vocalist?

Seriously , i still perfer the old singer...... I have to say that the band is great and tight but the new vocalist have alot of work to do. Given more time and exposure, the new vocalist will improve..... as for the band ...keep up the good work....
