Battle of the bands (secondary schools) 21 july @ ACSI

lol acs barker "won" this competition

i wudnt say i wasted my ten bucks cuz it was a nice atmosphere and the bands were not too bad, and it was definitely more comfortable then youth gone wild, but musically not as impressive

IMO acs international were the best tonite (im not from there neither do i hav frens there), they were the most calm and confident batch of the night n they delivered everything smoothly; their drummer had quite impressive fills i must say and they really knew how to hav fun on the guits, vocals great too... unfortunately this botb was indeed a popularity contest, with the party choosing the most catchy and complicated sounding songs to woo the audience winning (after all they had like 20x more supporters than international). i wont say their band was bad, but really nothing spectacular... unless u talking about the poser hats and the jumping around like high, and the drummers "solo" at the end which was the oni rly noticable thing about his performace tru the whole night (though the "solo" was just rolling on toms quickly with no unique pattern)

i giv credit to the other bands as well as they all did well that night to entertain the audience and i hope the next competition will be judged on the music itself, rather than the supporter quantity

k the results are out... kickass night
