the drive models are much better than the M9, tho but modulation i still think m9 is better sounding but than m9 is slanted towards guitar and B3 is more bass friendly, different animal.

but if u wanna use it for live, B3 perform as well as the M9. but recording i rather use the M9 but than the studio sure got pod studio pro so kinda pointless. B3 + G30 is now on my live, gigging and jamming board. its awesome.

Beta > Boss > Hartke
All power through my DIY AC/DC adpater
Question why the Beta & Boss is mounted like that 0- slant slant.. not fancy footwork... but because no space to place them side by side due to cable restriction and the way I hook it up..

Pardon my ignorance.. may i ask for pedal boards that are bigger than a typical pedal box, how do you guys carry it to your jam sessions.. ?
do you have a box that's as big as your pedal board, or you carry the pedal board in a bag instead ?
if so, what kind of bag is suitable ?
i am looking at expanding my pedal box into a pedal board so that i can arrange my pedals to my comfort and looks more clean.. but i dont know if there are boxes that big once i re-arranged all my pedals.
i may be adding one distortion to my line up.. which might load up to 4 devices together, meaning my existing pedal box sure wont fit.

thanks ya !

Most boards come with matching soft or hard cases. For 4 small pedals, you might want to consider the Pedaltrain Nano or Pedaltrain Mini with softcase

if you don't have a big budget you can try the pedalboards at Guitar77, they look similar to a Pedaltrain and come with a backpack. Alternatively you could go with a CNB case, can get those from TY music at Peninsula or Ranking Music at Bras Basah. However those are not as durable. There's always a trade off between weight, price, and durability.

Regarding your original post, I use the "pedal bag" that comes with my pedalboards (PT Nano, PT Jr, PT Pro), but I also have a few CNB "pedal boxes" (the two bigger sizes from TY Music) for other stuff as well.

I checked out a Gator pedal bag.. but I didn't like the design because I have to place the opened bag on the floor to get stepped upon.
Check out another that came with a wooden board, which.. in my opinionnot worth because its wood and for the dollars I'd make one myself with wood purchase from IKEA.
Hoping to find Pedaltrain, but seems like the stores didnt carry them. One that did had a really huge board.
Anyway, will try source around again next time.
Thanks for the help !:)

Sound Alchemy has the full range of PTs if I'm not wrong, and so does Ebenex over at Bras Basah.

my pedalboard looking for mxr bass compressor to replace my lmb3 though

cool board, have you thought of getting the SA BEF Pro? I find the presets and EQ section quite useful, not to mention exp pedal and hot hand compatibility. The MXR bass compressor I have is pretty good, but there have been some reports about problems with the new batches, so if you do get one be sure to try it first haha.

my current "live" board. The REDDI is awesome.

haha i wanted to get the pro but i feel that the preset is a bit too much for me, just using it for the hot hand wobbles really, davis doesnt seem to like stock the pedal that i want to buy, my gas list will be the swollen pickle, pork loin, mxr bass compressor, lol

Do you find the wireless hot hand abit hard to get used to? I never really could master it haha. Anyway I think Ranking music might have stock of the way huge pedals, saw some when I went down yesterday. MXR Bass Compressor might be hard to find over here, but if you are willing to spend more, Ebenex has stock of the Empress Compressor (quite similar but with lower ratios and a sidechain feature).

REDDI! Can you briefly review this DI? How much did it cost u?

there was alot of hype about it so I decided to give it a shot. When i first used it, I was pretty impressed. The tone is warm and very full, yet it's clear at the same time. Also, it's pretty quiet, which means that it doesnt add noise to the signal chain. The REDDI is pretty big and heavy though, so if you don't drive you might want to think about it, and the 1/4" output is a mirror of the input, which means it doesnt go through the transformers/tubes. I got it from soundpure (A Designs referred me to the guy), and it costs me about 800+ or close to 1k for the DI (which is pretty expensive...). But if you ask me, it's still pretty worth it because the sound is just so great.

Thx Kester! Do u place it at the last of your pedal chain before sending the signal to the FOH? Yup the 1/4" should be the parallel out to another amp on stage for monitoring use, I believe. Alright, maybe u can advise me on this. I have a Thumb 6 which sound good through a speaker, but the mid-rangey character of the bass due to the pickup placement somehow resulted the bass to sound thin when I feed the bass directly to a mixer via d.i. The output as heard from a headphone is well, very midrangey with only slight presence of the bass freq. Do you think the REDDI would produce an emulated speaker cabinet effect? If yes, your 800/1k is well worth it!!

hmmm I've used it with my epiphone EB-3 and Fender Jazz (w Aeros) but not with my Warwick. I'm not sure if it would produce an emulated speaker cabinet effect, but many people compare it to a mic'd Ampeg B-15. I think it would probably help you get a fuller sound, but you might be limited by the PA speakers or the mixer preamp. Haha but the money spent on this thing is definitely worth it, if I had to describe it in one word it would be rich. It adds heft to the low-end but without losing any clarity.
