Hey i'm Anand. Quite a intermediate bassist,i'm heading to Berklee next year.
I plan to get a new bass soon and i was looking at the Ristola Custom 5 string. But i wanna know what other basses there are in the 3000-4000 dollar range?
No warwicks please.

Thanks :)

Where do i check out lakland basses? any dealers here in singapore? not very familiar with most bass brands, stuck with ibanez all my life.

Since you're going to the USA, why not save your cash first and buy your bass there.
Im sure u can get better prices for most brands. Also save u the hassle of having to bring your bass over.

Yeah but i'll need my bass from day one when i get there, so i definitely need to have a bass ready on hand haha. If not i would get my bass there, way more variety.

get your bass there,. instead of sg. seriously u save some $ and get awesome options. and more space for your luggage. spend 1/2 a aday at your local guitar centre or google for those small mom pop shops around the area

+10 to that

i'd recommend both Lakland Skylines and Sadowsky Metros. can't go wrong with either, just see which ones suits you best.

why not ask the guys on Talkbass about guitar shops at where you're going? they may be able to save you the trouble of having to look for one.

Lol, since you are going to Berklee to study music for real... why not get this??........

Zon Hyperbass~!!

Insane stuff.

whats so good about that bass???

The Hyperbass is really quite an awesome piece of art itself. Worksmanship and engineering in all. It's capable of many many alternate tunings.

Not like many of us will ever use such tunings though, but with strong musical foundation, one might be able to explore such tunings.

Props to Zon for creating such a revolutionary instrument and Michael Manring for being able to compose something like that. I just think its amazing.

Dude! its 3k-4k! not more skylines at this range. more like a US lakland...drool.
