that is not distortion but a keyboard synthesizer at work. however, good bass disortion pedals could do fake it enough.

owh yeah? i went to their concert and i dont think there was any keyboard stuff..
i tried to add more bass on my effect and kill the direct effect but still didnt work..

i doubt he uses the big muff + deep impact combi for live shows anymore. most of his fx are rackmounted now

i heard he uses 2 russian big muff pis in series? =P plus a little synth i reckon... not too sure...

actually it depends on the songs. for the hysteria recording he used 2 big muff pi's. i think you can go www.microcuts.net and search around for his rig, it is folklore in its own right
