Never get to try one but saw a video with the MTD featured. Nice tone. Love the wood too. You church friend got it locally? Hee not cheap I guess

Currently I'm using the Ibanez SR506 that comes with Barts MK1 with active 3 band eq. I must say the sound can be really bright or tuned to make it sound boomy like death metal bass. I've also managed to make it sound like Michael Manring's fretless sound. So far I'm rather pleased with my bass and the Barts that it came with.

Ibanez BTB comes with Barts.......smooth character.....double up with the three band eq
