Band playing in MRT TRAIN!!!

Sixx! Was already on my way home yesterday when I heard they were playing around Orchard and then moved onto the MRT. Really cool bunch

Applause for the courage....hahahhaha.....well I had this idea as well, but then my friends start saying "What the hell??? are you nuts" kinda response....LOL

There is always a risk of getting scolded by passengers though....so quite scary....

Most of the comments over there are pretty stupid..
"The train is crowded enough as it is without these retards in there taking up valuable standing space!"

"fully agree with fellow STOMPers "amberjuly" and "StewpigCupig". SMRT should have the sense to free the spaces occupied by the band than to "waste" them. who cares for music where one just as tried and wants to get their destination fast! goodness....SMRT really have lots to learn!!! counter productive!!!"

"Pls lah, do not jam up the space in the train, want attention pls elsewhere"

"chen them la public nuisance"

"crappy music.... *Puii*"

-_-

88% shiok, 7% bochup, 1% lol; only 4% enraged.
Let the vocal minority make their little bit of noise.

Other passengers also enjoyed the music, said the STOMPer. He even struck up a conversation with a stranger who also liked the music.
Making talk with strangers? zomg. I never thought this would even be possible in Singapore. There may be hope yet! I think mission accomplished Sixx.

I mean come on la, if hugging, kissing and carassing is tolerated in the mrt even digging the nose, why not Jamming? I don't see any harm inflicted on others.

Although publicity stunt like these are 'cool, fun, refreshing', I feel musicians should still be mindful of the general public's space.

If someone complain or make a police report, the video can be used against the band as evidence.

Unless they have a license in the first place. I appreciate the boldness of Sixx, and their overall statement.

But Stomp is Stomp. They're always filled with babies day in day out. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm shown on it with stupid captions like 'Guy sleeps in train' or something.

well, basically 2 stands expressed by 2 different types of people here.

young at hearts, "whoa good stuff, cool."

rusting brains, "stop wasting my oxygen and get out."

from the stats on stomp, it's good to see most voters are open. closed minded people.. well, their loss, condolences to them.

Will our FGL brother take the 2nd step? bring his bands to Jam in mrt? it's surely a pleasure to perform, hahaha.

erm ... we drive bro ... we dont take mrt ....

I personally thought it was cool - but thats me - knowing smrt - I'm sure they would get busted the next time round it happens..

also - why is it that if it happened in the west - the musos would at least get applause from the fellow commuters - but here in SG .. all they get are curious WTF stares or boh chap stare onto space looks ... thats the typical SG mentality to wards the arts & entertainment ...

by the way the female vox is a babe!

there are plenty of articles complaining about couples who hug/kiss/caress on the mrt too. i think more often than not, you're gonna get lots of negative comments from a platform like STOMP. it's infamous for its (insert derogatory term here) users and articles, no?

i just wish that the article had clarified that this took place on a weekend, not a weekday when people are a lot more antsy and particular about their space during rush hour.

Honestly, I think it's cool!! Singapore everything cannot one lah. Singaporean...everything complaint one...hope to see more of this things. If I were to be there...I'll definitely applaud them...maybe ask for request. Hehehehe!!
