Bad Horsie 2

If anyone cares, it's $235 at Davis, but they're out of stock. Only got Bad Horsie 1 right now.

Thanks wangdexian for the pointer.

The Bad Horsie 2 is a great modern wah... :) I have it and I love it.

Looks like you are going for it Vern! ;)

But in all means, do remember to test it... wahs are very very subject to the individual's taste... why don't you drop by Davis and test the Bad Horsie 1 first? Since it is just the BH2 without additional controls...

sorry, but i feel the bad horsie 2 ....very muddy la ...~
personal preferance i guess ~
den the auto off feature ...
wat if you wan the "tone" at a fixed place ?
good thing is dun have to worry abt scratchy pots ~

Muddy? Why would it be? I find that it works superbly well on low note riffing...

Yah, thats 1 bad thing, it can't stay in one place... but then again, you can easily do a rhythm-wah-rhythm-wah thing without having to bother abt switching it on/off... ;)

Hmmm.... Actually, why don't you add me to msn? I'll gladly play some stuff for you to judge. cows_dtly@hotmail.com :)

And in anycase, I've only used the Wah in My Life With You... Haven't been composing much.. but I will be posting more stuff that I have done (With wah) soon...

Ok... I just uploaded one more song I did with my Bad Horsie.. .Didn't use it all the time but well, yah lah, got use lah... ;)

Its a simple song... hope it gives you an idea of how the BH2 is like in metal.

I just feel it's muddy when you play clean ... ~
it's nice with distortion i gotta admit.

I agree with you Nebo... on cleans, the default setting of the BH2 and BH, can't cut it.... its definately not designed for cleans in mind.

But with the BH2, you have an alternate set of controls, thats where you can tone down the wah and make it more appropriate for clean funk lines. ;)

It still isn't the best for clean wah-ing, so yeah, if you are into clean wahs, get something else... but do note, if a wah was designed for more cleanish tones, it prob wouldnt be able to handle hi gain tones and vice versa.

actually .... can ... ~
i put my DS1 (stock) before the wah ...
with a little bit of gain .... almost none~

i use it as a booster...
and really projects the wah with high distortion ~

i prefer to set my wah to low ... den got that low growl ~!
and when i kick in the DS1 ...
SUPER ~!
