yeah it was so intense!!! man. best show I have been to locally, honestly. I'm hating myself for not catching them live earlier

the enjoyment i gotten for watching a number of their past shows, is that theres usually some different arrangement/presentation done to some songs which really stand out.

Even a stripped down acoustic gig which they did couple month back in nus, its so musically sweet!

imho

I can honestly say that even though I've been watching them for years now, I have never come away from a B-Quartet show disappointed.

nooooooooooo The Observatory is the greatest ever and forever!!!! hehehe

terrible terrible i have never seen BQ live though i have the cd (and its wonderful progressive post-metal alt rock).............somehow never able to make it for the gigs

yeah I saw em many years back at the yamaha band comp - damm kick ass - their dad (who was a friend of mine) would be very proud of them

you HAVE to go to one of their shows sometime, heh, it's completely mindblowing. i was listening to the cd just now and it doesn't compare to their live show

hey daryl, do keep a look out if theres some other shows by the hykal doing his spoken word thingy. The last few he did, it was really steady. Blend of spoken words, music, laptop twiddling and circuit bending sound etc

very different from the band stuff and more experimental-ish

oh yes, will definitely keep a look out for that. i remember emphibian/haykal? put some stuff up on soft, some pdf of his spoken word thing. i enjoyed that

er... do u really want hannah montana fans to gush over b-quartet

edit: hang on, bq is really getting more views than hannah montana/mmiley cyrus thread. until she changes styles and joins a metal band.

Hey, thanks for the love!!!

Drummer Hidir is going in for NS next month so it might be some time before they play the next show. But it could be sooner than expected. We might have something coming up.

Unofficial news from the band camp. All the songs for the following album are almost written. The boys are undergoing the process of arranging and tweaking the tunes for live performances. And of course, there's that pesky issue of recording, mixing, mastering and pressing the album. Hopefully, we will be done by October 09 with the CD done.

There will not be a sea change in terms of sound and direction if you have heard a couple of the new tunes already. From what I understand, they are moving back to a more organic sound, removing the electronic elements. So look out for that.

Yeah, there are a couple of videos floating on YouTube but they are the older songs. I'm still waiting for footage from the album launch to be cut/ edited as well... Yessshhh....
