Was walking about Bras Bersah today and saw an Ayers Micsf10 in ranking.

Can check the pictures here.

Tested it out and it sounded amazing
Anyone has any experience with the guitar. Am considering to get it but with its price tag (2.4k), I believe that i can get a taylor or martin that would probably have a higher resale value.

Just wanted some opinions if anyone has ever tried the Micsf10 against a taylor/martin and hope someone could tell me where i should put my money at.

Thanks in advance

I have tried the Ayers guitars before. I believe that they are comparable to the Taylor 4-series tonewise and in terms of the quality of the wood and electronics. However, i did notice some shoddy craftsmanship, especially with the fretwork. The frets were rather uneven from the 10th fret on, quite some buzzing at the higher frets. Sustain also wasn't there higher than the 12th fret. There were some spots where the lacquer was applied too generously at the headstock too, something you won't find on a Taylor. Hence, i'd rather the pay the extra 300-500 and get the Taylor. That lifetime warranty is a huge bonus too. However, with Taylors, i find that you've to go and try them out piece by piece and then select one based on your ears, as i find the tonal variations surprisingly big between Taylors of the same model. But maybe that's just me.

If i were you, i'd go for the Taylor. No question about it. And it's not just because of the brand. Taylors are really value-for-money guitars. Great sounds.
But, hey man, whatever sounds good to you.

No offense but I don't consider Taylor value for money. But they are excellent guitars with a certain magic to them. I'd take a Taylor over a Gibson or Martin anyday. :)
