I'm using an old Tama Double Pedal, and I have been finding this baby for a very long time. I think It's time to change the Shaft that connects both primay and slave pedal. Cause if you were to depressed both pedals and let it go and swing. The Slave pedal will end it's swing earlier. Which means the Primary pedal will swing longer. I've found out that the shaft have some backlash hence the slave pedal is not as tight as the primary pedal..So anyone have any idea how I can get hold of these shaft which promises zero backlash. There is no axis dealer in Singapore... yet.

You can order online if you've got the cash.

I tried one in Amsterdam. Good stuff.

If you think in term of physics, it's to be expected. The slave definately will have more friction/drag & weight factor.

This is logical, as the slave have 3 or 4 pivot points (the sleeve or ball bearings, 2 on the pedal and 1-2 on the slave beater). Add to that, there is 2 universal joints on the shaft. Add to that, the shaft carry some weight by itself. So between the master and the slave, there is quite a bit of difference already.

This can be compensated by increasing tension to the slave spring. But it will not take the weight factor away, which will hold more inertia than the master. So the feel between 2 pedals will never be the same. You just get used to it.

Expensive pedals make up somewhat in superior engineering, quality bearings and metal parts. So if you want a better feel, the price have to be paid.

Else, consider getting a second bass drum, and get another single pedal.
