axis pedals

are they really better when it comes to performance? why are they so expensive like the DW peds?

Just wondering, nevertried them.. Ranking sports at BB has one, right?

I've tried them at drums resource some time ago. And they were amazing la.. I don't play double pedals, but when i tried them sitting on a stool with those practice pads at the shop, i could play what ever i imagined in my mind to play. It was as easy as tapping my feet.
If i'm not wrong, the Axis Pedals there are direct drive kind, as in there is no chain&sprocket or belt. It probably has some thing to do with the amazing response it gives. $1000 is quite a bit of money to part with, though...

I saw the Axis - The hardWare of these Pedals looks a "Little Cheapo"...eg. Machine by a HardWare Shop Type.....and it's S$1000 to S$1200.00

The DW I think is around S$750.00

Of course I do not know which is better - but I've heard alot of good-remarks about both these pedals....

These 2 Pedals are not cheap man !...

RD... which DW? 9000 or 5000? My friend just bought a DW5000 single pedal here in Msia's JS Music and it cost him RM700. RM700 for single pedal.... thats insane!!!!!!!!! 8O

cheap ah?? i bought my Elims pedal only for RM450. :? And RM700 for DW5000... i think thats a rip off... because 5000 series is not the highest end model of DW.

RM700 how to buy a Brand New DW9000 Series Pedal?.....I trhink you double up the amount to RM1400 = S$700...also cannot get lah...unless you are talking about 2nd-hand pedal.

Well, u jus have to accept the pricing. DW9000 doubles from JS, from wat i noe will set u back over RM2k. Gotten mine from states for abt Sing900. So can jus imagine how much it is wif the markup and tax in ringgit. And for Sing750, he should be referrin to 5000 doubles.

A friend of mine who plays for a grunge band here in Malaysia had the A longbaords...VDL and everything but when he doubles all I can here is just noise. But later he brought his Yamaha Direct Drives hey sounded more punchier and distinct, but of course not responsive as the Axis.

SoI think a good investment in some triggers will help. Since most Axis doubles dude's trigger, maybe get the E-kit triggers on the pedal or red shot by DDrum. However the brain is killer priced.

For me even the DW 5000 ND2 was smooth, so I dont know how much smoother the AD3 and DW 9002 will be! :D

I heard many people have many different opinion about Double-Pedals. Some say Yamaha Flying Dragon is good...some say Iron Cobra...some say Axis.

But my Instructor in Yamaha (last time when I was with them) always asked me to use Standard Pedal...don't use the very very good pedal to Learn drumming - as it is better for me to improve skill ...???? I wonder if he is correct?...but I would love to own a Yamaha Flying Dragon oneday....

i've tried the flying dragon,cobras,dw4000,elims,axis,dualist and of course
my present pedal carlos...but i still can't keep my mind off axis...
its so responsive...i don't even know how 2 describe it..but anyways...
i guess i wont be getting those pedals as long as my carlos double pedals can
still be used....hey man..have anyone tried the dw9000 or giantstep?
