if you're talking about stage presence, nothing and i mean NOTHING beats STORY OF THE YEAR & MUTHMATH.

Mutemath
YouTube - MUTE MATH - Chaos
The band is just awesome, the play the coolest blend of rock.
And they are insane live! I've got their DVD, which's really live performance at its best.
i'll do anything to watch them live man.

the drummer's place right in front for all their shows and i find it awesome that he duct tapes his head phones to his head. which is completely understandable with all the vigorous skilled drumming.

Paramore, Saosin, Dream Theater, Daft Punk(too good), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Caracal, The Fire Fight, Allura, Astreal. =) These are some of my favourite acts.

HEALL YEAH TO STORY OF THE YEAR!!Philip Sneed and ryan philips are wicked. The skull is awesome. Dan and josh are amazing. The whole of soty is fun to watch

A7X..the way shadows commands the stage is amazing.

Supersilent - 7

the live dvd to end all live dvds. The sheer propulsive power of improvised jazz-rock-electronics fusion.........

Man, I can't believe no one has mentioned U2! They're definitely one of the best live acts around these days!

IRISH supergroup U2, due to play in Adelaide next month, recently held a concert in Glasgow, Scotland.

Halfway through the concert, lead singer Bono stood in a spotlight on stage and asked the audience of 30,000 for complete silence.

Gradually the auditorium fell quiet.

Then Bono began slowly clapping.

The audience was spellbound. Was this the beginning of a song? Did he want everyone to clap with him?

He took the microphone and said: "Everytime I clap my hands a child dies in Africa."

The spell of silence was broken when a wag in the front row shouted: "Well, stop clapping."

So we had The Good Vibrations festival in Perth last weekend.

Kanye West was the headliner. They announce him, he walks out on stage, the crowd goes wild, the beats drop and Kanye is letting the tension build. He starts to prowl the stage pointing to people in the crowd, whipping them up into a frenzy...

...when someone at the front of the stage yells, "Rap you cunt!".

It was loud enough so I got picked up by the mics and put out across the whole sound system.

Welcome to Australia Kanye.

Haha that joke is pretty funny. Speaking about U2 though, there's this U23D film about them now out in the States and Canada. Anyone has any idea if it's coming over here?
