Oh yeah...

Nice one here, can't wait for the DVD release of his other orchestra collab Fire Strings... if its ever going to come out.

Interesting to note how Vai is out of tune from the orchestra most of the time unless he does bends or plays on certain strings/frets.

i read that it is inevitable given the nature of the instrument yeah? maybe more so considering its a floating bridge. hmm

Well, actually, its nothing to do with the floating trem... the issue with floaitng trems arise only when doing double stops. Like you hit 2 strings, and bend 1, the other will go flat.

Vai's out of tune because the guitar is out of tune.. its a flawed instrument where else the orchestra dudes, no frets, no equal temperment tuning, they can be in tune.
