Avenged Sevenfold Live In Singapore

woah! Im going! Tho im not a metal fan. BUT ITS THEIR MUSIC and SHOWMANSHIP!
YEAH! IM GOING!

Changing my guard duty on that day! and apply LEAVE!

I'm quite a big fan. I think you all can tell from my nick. lol. I will most prolly be going. \o/

this is a good sign. more bands are waking up to the idea of singapore being a prime spot as part of their asian touring leg. but well, a7x, phwoar gonna give it a miss. too brutal for me

yea i don't dig all this genre fixing and whatnots. as long as you think their music is good then its good.

but anyway hell yeah im gonna go! i missed out singfest last year as well so this one must go. heck it that my A's will start in a few days time from the gig hahaha

Yah man...i'm scared to go also...A7X shows are too brutal and the crowd is like really fierce :D :D :D

and their musicianship is like wow man...best drummer and guitarist in the world! woooo!

Now they also wanna copy and do early bird tickets?

I wonder where they got that idea from :p

it's all midas.

anyway Avenged Sevenfold, from City of Evil onwards, is just good hard rock to me. although the use of double pedals often lead many to think it's pure metal.

Wow a7x back again for their 2nd performance! I missed their first performance at SingFest, not gonna miss them again now! Their latest albums just rock and with better clean vocal. What an achievement for them all the way from their first album! Can't wait! Can't wait!!

=pedialite

slayer and megadeth weren't metal enough for you?

what is slayer and megadeth?

Okok I'll cut the act, but seriously I'm clueless as to why Iron Maiden 'plays metal' but A7x doesn't. I know they don't give off this tough brutal vibe and all compared to most 'modern metal' bands but still.. =/

Old a7x was metalcore and City of Evil had the very classic metal feel to it, new album is very ERRRRR though. Still.. Afterlife is a pretty good song.

I'm a fan of Slayer's and Megadeth's music btw. But aren't they Thrash Metal? Doesn't that technically mean that they aren't pure metal? :D

Its a long boring Sunday afternoon and personally I don't really like to care much about the whole genre issue, only when I need to talk to friends about music. But what I do care about is how people think about the whole what makes a band metal thing.

Cheers!
Flame me if you want, but I'd rather hear your thoughts. :)
(only if you really really can't help it, but don't expect a super smart reply that will own your ass cause I'm not smart and I don't have the time or energy to surf dictionary.com)

No offense but Avenged Sevenfold is a band that will be here for a long long time and mark my words be legendary in time to come.

Full of talent and creativity that amazes me from time to time. The older albums like Waking The Fallen showed their potential which was a fusion of punk metal. City Of Evil made them mainstream and it appealed to a larger crowd. Even their first album Sounding the Seventh Trumpet which was raw was kinda good.

Avenged Sevenfold the album was by far the best album they have made. Tracks like Dear God, Gunslinger and A Little Piece of Heaven shows what they are capable of. A Little Piece of Heaven is like Bohemian Rhapsody AX7 style with a sick necrophiliac way. Dear God was simply a radio friendly yet it didn't spoil their roots. However their direction in genre changes, they still make awesome music. True, they may not be as metal as they used to but no one can deny the fact that they make music that not many bands out there can make or even copy.

And why they are so darn good? See them live and it's almost like the album. These guys aren't like some new age bands that sound great on an album and suck live(many examples out there).

It'll be one crazy concert on the 27th.
