aux in for cars, can you connect an ipod?

Hey guys out there, recently got a new car, the maxda 6, and theres this aux in function for my stereo and i heard that i can connect my ipod to it and play my ipod through the sound system, any idea what kind of gear or wire i need to get, hope to hear from you guys soon,

Confirm can.
Just need an audio cable. Can find in most stores like Harvey Norman, Challenger etc

Both end have the same size as an earphone input, which is i believe its 3.5mm

For some older audio players which dosent have an aux input on the front panel, u need to get another cable, which can be attached at the rear of the player which has another diff kind of connection to attach at the rear and 3.5mm connection to your ipod. In that case, go to sim lim tower. There are a few audio shops meant for car stereos. You may check with them.

I do recording/mixing in my car also. mine don't have aux in, but got cassette player, so i'm using this :
