Audio Interface

Please check the Echo manual carefully and contact their tech support. I recall that using 2 soundcards are not as easy as you think. One of them must be disabled. I also recall my Echo products will automatically attempt to remove all other audio drivers when it's audio driver is installed.

I will suggest dual booting and making one boot partition just for DAW. In that partition, make sure your other soundcard is disabled in the system properties BEFORE you plug in your miamidi into the PCI slot. After it is disabled, then proceed to follow the installation process for your MiaMidi according to the manual. Everything should be quite easy. You cannot use 2 soundcards at the same time.

Also, double check the audio settings in Cubase. Also check your Miamidi mixer that will be installed with the drivers.

cheez : hmm weird. I used 3 soundcards at once before. a creative live / onboard / layla24. it works okay i guess. as long as i set the thing in control panel.

chink : well try my suggestion first, if there's problems then go with cheez's. you can disable soundcards through device manager. Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager.

Can somebody tell me how to get in touch with SWIZER? i'd love to check Echo products, might wanna get one to change my M Audio. Reviews for ECHO seems to be very good. Thanks.

Hope to hear from you Cheez, and also been waiting for your reply on my thread re my prob with my JV 1010.

Hei hei hei.....

The miamidi worked like a breeze wif absolute low latencies, and all i had to do was to plug in two monitors from Line Out 1/2 of the soundcard and i could hear my vsts playing... hehe.... for the rest of the sounds from media players, they come from my old soundcard... :) ie. the "green" output from the old soundcard... Fantastic! Thanks for all the help, esp blu n cheez!

Cheers,
Wil
