Audio interface noise when laptop's charging

Here's the problem:

When I'm using my audio interface with my laptop charging, there's always a constant noise in the background. It's fine and noise-free if my laptop isn't charging. Has this got to do with ground loop issues? What are the solutions to it?

Also, on related topic, my Behringer headphone amp begins to hiss ONLY when i turn up the volume on it. Has this got to do with ground loop issues, or is it because of Behringer's cheap make?

Thanks in advance
Ian

try plug into another power socket, see if it still persists. also make sure the powersocket extension isn't shared with a FLUORESCENT lamp.

what audio interface are you using? if you're using a normal onboard soundcard it'll be normal to have that hiss. but again, it may be a behringer thing.

i'm using a yamaha mixer. i've tried plugging into another power socket but it didn't work as well.

i found a solution though. I just have to plug in the charger before booting up the laptop. yea, it's weird.

thanks for your help though
