Attenuator Pedal ?

Hi guys,

I've got a Vox AC4TV and would love to play it cranked all the time, however even ant 1/4 Watt it's still to loud if i really want to get a nice tone.

I heard that Attenuators are the way to go. Is there an Attenuator Pedal ? Or something i can do so i can have my Amp at full volume without disturbing my neighbors ?

Cheers

i own the Signal Pad- useful, this one.

Running the Signal Pad in between your guitar and your amp only makes it function like the volume pot in your guitar.

bro, there's negligible 'cleaning' effect if you connect it parallel to your amp. in series, it acts as a secondary resistor- not much excitement here, he he...

So the Signal Pad will clean up my tone when i use it ? Is there a way to have my amp tone when it's at a high volume, at a lower volume ?

BTW thanks for the suggestions so far.

i think the signal pad is really a waste of money if u plan to use it as an attenuator. I handbuilt a attentuator pedal using just

input output jacks, 25k gotoh pot, wires and a cheap plastic box. About 15 dollars max.

This is essentially the same thing as the signal pad without the stomp switch

The attenuator pedal wouldnt work as a volume attenuator is u placed it btw the guitar and amp. It would only work in the effects loop. I am not sure if you can place the pedal in between the amp to speaker connection, you would need advise from other softies on that hahah

Maybe you can try to set your amp volume low, and then run an overdrive pedal into the amp to give it a boost. That may give you a tone u desire at a lower volume.

The TS-7 that sub recommended is cheaper than the TS-9. Ard the region of 70 to 80 at standard value if i am not wrong.

U can check out biyang od-7/od-8 or od10 too, all are tubescreamer clones.
I prefer the sound of od8 to od10 although od10 looks much nicer and is much more compact hahah u can head down to standard value and give it a try they have got all of the mentioned pedals
