Attaching splash to bass drum

hey drummers, i was wondering if there is such a clamp where you can attach a splash onto the bass drum. Very similar to the clamp used for cowbells. I have one but its meant for cowbells so i stacked the whole rod up with felts to hold the splash up. But its messy and quite inconvenient. Also I cant tighten the splash as there isnt anything to tighten with. Is there such a clamp? Would be very grateful if any of u knew:D

Get a 2 way clamp to clamp to your tom holder/cymbal stand, and a half stand clamped to the other side. Then mount your splash on it, yeah.

Bro Phlemingo

Yeah I do that too.

Can also attached an extension from current cymbal eg (Crash or Ride) - they do sell these.

or

Like DH style - on top of the Hi-Hats...Kekekeke !

get an adaptor and boom arm.

you can try using a hihat clutch on the cowbell holder thing. unorthodox but i think it might work just as well!

i see, thanks! haha ya im already using my imagination quite abit. Found a few random parts of a dismantled cymbal stand in my house, am attempting to fix something up. Where is Ranking? i ve read about it a few times on a few posts on soft. Googled and street-directoried it to no avail.. Ranking Sports and music or entertainment or something like that right?

I use the LP Cymbal Claw, which is a clamp that clamps on the rim of the tom (mounted on bass drum) with a small angled cymbal arm attached to the clamp. Can see LP's site for it. Dunno whether can clamp on bass drum rim or not...

there is a way... but if you're a hard player i wouldn't advise it.
use the tama hi-hat attachment, its the clamp that is supposed to be for double bass drum players.
on one side its a clamp that you put your boom arm on, and on the other its a lock that grabs its self on to the bass drum, go to swee lee to check it out.

hmm i must have missed the swee lee one during the sale. I just went to check out the LP cymbal claw, very very nice looking! Although all i really need is the rod holding the cymbal itself. the clamp dont really need since i have a brand new clamp which holds the rod meant for cowbells. i ll try n ask if they can sell me just that rod:D. haha thanks alot

Hmmm... I think I've seen the cymbal rod sold separately before, but being Yamaha, they are probably out of stock and dunno when in this decade they'll bring the stocks in.

Alternatively there's the LP Mount-All® Cymbal Bracket (LP236A). It's a cymbal stand clamp with the same cymbal rod as the Claw. You can separate the 2 parts: use the bracket for a cowbell, or Jam Block and the cymbal rod for your purpose. I've bought this bracket at Yamaha also.

Peace,

I see. wow i had no clue this rod was so common! should have done my research properly. haha. Thanks again. bebop how much did u buy that bracket for?
