At the drive in... Mars Volta/Sparta

Hi guys.looking for at the drive in fans. since their break up,and the formation of Mars Volta and Sparta, I realise that more people dig Mars Volta.

I personally prefer Sparta coz to me they still sound like ATDI. Mars Volta is cool though but they're just different from ATDI. To me,sometimes when I see their live videos, they just play noise.

Although when some people listen to sparta, they wont really like jim's vocals.

Ok please take note that this is all personal preference.There cannot be a "best" band between the 3.

Which do u prefer? MV or Sparta or both?

Mars Volta

If theres one thing btw he Mars Volta and ATDI...they both sound bad live...especially the vocals...this is just based on the videos I have see online...and these are good quality ones not the fan recorded ones...I like both...but when the Mars Volta came on the scene, I found them more interesting...especially th first 2 albums...I bought the Bedlam in Goliath and was dissappointed. I don't know why but I just couldn't get into the album...to me it just sounded too over indulgent... I don't know is it becos they changed drummers ( from Jon Theodore to Jeremy Pridgen) but I just didn't like it...both are over the top drummers by the way.

It takes a lot to get into The Mars Volta. Their concepts are always intriguing.

Sparta is horrible.

IMO, one reason why it has always been mars volta and ATDI is because of omar and cedric. that raw feeling never fails to entice me.
