hi there!

have been lurking around the forums for sometime.... finally decided to post. haha:)

anyway, i would like to know if there are any music production courses out there....

like recording, mastering, beat making, sampling etc on daws...

maybe a short course, intro course just to get me started.

there is a 4 week course at mussic lab for 480, abit steep for me though...

so if there are other alternatives? hit it on this thread!:)

You can learn them yourself. That's what I did.

I basically got FL Studio , and fiddled around with it and after a couple of months , I actually became comfortable with the whole thing. In case your thinking , 'Fl studio is a toy lol' , then tell that to people like.. Adam Szabo or Deadmau5?

That's also lots of online tutorials , but I have never read any of them before.
You want to learn music production right? Well to be honest I don't really know what it covers , but to me it would most likely be mastering/recording/synth patch making etc.
Personally for me , programming vsts/synths are really really hard .. It's a art itself . There's stuff like FM synthesis / additive synthesis / subtractive.. blah blah. (Unless you are not into that genre of music haha.)

I made trance music btw , but I don't really do it now ..

so you can get your hands dirty experimenting mixing and look at the photos on the recording side of things. though nothing on beat making and sampling.

Just a side note, it is better to get a cert, dip, or paper that recognised by MOE. Then you apply for AMIS instructor. You don't know when it come in handy.
