19 male just wanna give this a shot, any other newbs/pros practising guitar together? also wanna know where should i buy a normal metal string acoustic guitar...

for a acoustic guitar, for cheaper ones you could try starter packs available at sweelee and davis.

then there's always maestro, yamaha, taylor etc etc.

just a suggestion. something like people studying, except we play guitar and learn from each other.

how about it? we can do it at a studio but its money consuming, so.....maybe we can learn from each other at a softie's place?

well.....not at the moment cuz i still have to do house work and stuff (maid is gone for vacation) so i dunno wether ill be playing more than working. i think my living room should be big enough to squeeze y'all in.

haha the gathering is still being arranged as i have many things to settle first. also my mom's usually strict about anybody she doesnt know from coming to my place.

and....ive just deleted my guitar pro from my comp as im playing by ear now.

anyway, this guitar group doesnt neccesarily need to be at my place. what im suggesting is that this group location is put on a rotary basis.

like for example, for next week, it will be at my place (not confirm yet arh..). then it'll be at another softies place. we'll just go round, softie by softie, place by place..this will be much more convienient for our fellow axe players.

hi i bought my very cheap acoustic guitar from Davis am learning by myself from the chord book, but still i dun understand alot of things!!!

yeaa, a newb gathering sounds really fun... its a brilliant idea to start a guitar newb group, inviting strangers to one's house might seem a little awkward initially so... we can always go to public places and learn from one another there... now's my hols,... im free for quite a whilee...

so lets start our guitar newb gathering, called THE NEWB GUILD!

im free this week, let's having a intro session shall we? im thinking [Wednesday Afternoon] sounds like a perfect idea at [Somewhere in the central Area]

haha i really need help cos im hitting no where.. im trying to memorise all the basic chords etc and the flats but then i dun really know where and what tp strum, i simply just strum all the 6 strings! and for example, C, its really hard for me to accurately press down the strings without touching other strings, so yepp, a newb lesson would be perfecctttttt

no problem, im in for this guitar group as well. i have already mastered my axe basics (except fingerpicking ugh..) and can teach you guys how to strum and singalong.

and for the location, i.....see about it lah :lol: but make the date somewhere after the 28th cuz im flying off to thailand today in an hour. at the airport departure hall now.

if meet up on 28th, what kind of gathering will it be? The kind whereby everyone chiong and ask the non noobs "how ar how ar?" one by one? or are there any other ways?

another problem is that some have problems with acoustic. while some have probs with electric guitar. would there be any major problems? :?

yeap, theres a diff b/w acoustic and electric but we can have it one shot to see how things go.

yeah the accoustics would probally outsound the electrics i guess if this is gonna be done, we have to split up into groups. but picking up the guitar is only about how badly u want it u know? if u want it real bad than its gonna be easy = )
