anyone into photography?

You put more effort and thought into a film frame than digital because it's about 50 cents every time you shoot a frame using film and you don't want to waste your money. The consistence in quality of your shots are better when you know that you've got something to lose when you make a lousy one :)

but with digital, you can always take a new shot to correct your mistakes from the previous one. with film a bad shot (50cents?) goes to waste. and you have more freedom to experiment with different angles.

not trying to stir up an argument here just stating my thoughts. im noob in photography.

Hi Edwin! I'm not djulian, sorry! I'm not sure if you know me ;) I know lots of people from WMUM though...

Digital cams' resolution and dynamic range is still quite far from film's, esp. dynamic range. Technology is always catching up, though. Hopefully, some day we'll have a revolutionary sensor that can match film's qualities.

where's a good bargain for digital slr?
i'm sick of films.

The new Sony Alpha seems promising and pretty well priced too... have to wait and see. The lens ain't cheap though.

The cheapest DSLR in town now should be Pentax DL sub 1k and that's what I'm shooting with. Not the greatest AF speed but it works for me.
