Anyone interested to contribute songs for my short film

Hi there, just like to have a feedback from you softies here if you like to contribute songs for my short film for next year film festival.

I will be writing and directing the short film, now in the process of writing the script, once the script is finished , I will be applying for a short film grant from the Singapore Film Commission. Shooting of the short film will commence once the grant is approved.

It will have every genre of music to make it exciting and interesting. Hope you Softies can feedback to me here or by pm

It is about a abusive rougue step-father who keeps trying to hit on her teenage stepdaughter where she thinks of a alibi free plan to waste him away

This is the genteel way of the story for soft

sounds like some light instruments/piano/guitar piece will be suitable for some sentimental scene,
and orchestra or fast rythme piece will be suitable for action scene (scolding...etc)...

I like to have all genre of music to make it intersting rather than just piano music throughout. I would like to showcase local original music for my short film .

FYI this is not a kids or students project, it is going to be enter for next year film festival first and will later try to enter for other country film festival. So your music will be heard in what ever country film festival that I can participate

PS , Any oringinal music be it metal , punk, rock , funk , piano, acoustic can be used to fit into the short film

Hi there,

Sounds like a cool idea! Reminds me of a time when I let a friend use one of my songs for a polytechnic film project, I think I probably have the VCD lying around somewhere. It was an acoustic blues tune, set in a short film about some love story. Details are hazy but it was almost 3 years ago...

It got me a little interested about writing specifically for soundtracks, but I've never had the time nor chance to develop that. My style of music is mainly blues and I've got a couple other songs available for listening to online. Ask me for the website if you'd like to check them out.

Hi there,

I just like to say thank you to the nice people that replied and expressed genuine interest in my short film. I will keep you guys posted once my grant is approved.
I will not be using the conventional way of writing music to the film which is really boring. I might used a metal shredding lead for a emotional scene, so it is going to be very different audio visually.
