I'm DMC alumni, but that was when DMC was offered under the school of business. I heard they changed it to school of communications.

Be prepared for lots of projects, lots of presentations, lots of writing.
Discussions in class is a must.

If your command of English is not that good, please put in additional effort, having a good command of English helps in this course.

It also helps if you have skin as thick as an Elephant, especially on your face. :)

Oh and DMC isn't about making films or broadcasting. A lot of students mistake it for a film/TV/radio/glam course. It isn't, its about creating content for advertising, PR, teaching students to handle clients. To bridge the gap between your company and the client's company and their expectations. It is totally unglam, the industry that most DMC students will work in is usually underpaid and overworked. Especially in advertising, public relations, events management.

Working in these 3 fields are mentally and physically demanding.

When DMC was a business course, it was easier for many of us to transist to business degrees. For your batch, it may be different.

We did economics, finance, commercial law, etc. This allowed us to gain credit exemptions in university. It may have been changed for you. I really am not sure.

However, I have friends who have ventured into journalism, marketing etc. I myself am a marketing professional. When you go out to work, this piece of qualification is just a piece of paper. You need to sell your qualification to your future employer. And this course will equip you with a lot of skills to do just that.

The lecturers are very friendly, approachable. Especially Ping, Nga etc. Very fun lecturers, and also very understanding.

I'm sure you will have a very fulfilling time in SP and DMC, I have, and I will never look back with any sense of regret.
