grassroots are made in Korea.
Edwards are the ones made in Japan. they have maple caps, but the flame maple may just be a veneer.
the best thing about them is the long neck tenon(which you only find in "custom shop" gibsons), and also Seymour Duncan pickups.
Price wise..about $1400. About the same as the Japanese Tokais, which do not have the same neck construction, and has gotoh pickups.
