anybody got experience with busking in the streets?

Don't see any non-handicap people busking. Think needs license.....my friend is in the govt ministry which organises the foreign bands on orchard road and busking

there's these 2 guys who busk at the underpass at wheelock place! not disabled at all. many people who arent disabled busk.. haha. i wanna give it a shot soon. you do need a license to busk. must go through a audition or sth, IIRC

Previously, I wouldn't pay much attention. But since I picked up the keyboard, I would pay more attention.

I saw one who didn't display a license busking on a keyboard. He was whacking the keyboard with only the right hand...which is fine...a lot of them do that with a drum accompaniment. However, on a closer look....I realise he isn't really whacking according to the song that is played out from the keyboard.

Then I realised.....he had on one of the demo songs from the keyboard and is cheating everybody by pretending to play. Arrrggghhhh.....total pissed off!

I didn't give him any money. And I'll look even more closely next time if I wanted to give.

friend of mine busks...yiu ned licence and h said buskers are territoriall and can be vicious (e.g the busker war in the Orchhard Underpath).

I understand some of these buskers in the "hot" areas can make up to a few hundred a day ...so I never donate....

i was stoning facing the river with my guitar once sitting at clarke quay and when i turned around later i found money on my bag, does that count as basking?
confirm tourist just anyhow throw.. sianz luckily never kena caught by police.. but good ah could afford lunch after that lol

time to change job

i nvr had a chance to see any street performer, except there are 2 groups in boon lay mrt station. One group involve a erhu player and occasionally there is a vocal singing down there. The other is just a person playing guitar

where where?? lol. ... -_- funny

i've performed with buskers before (not during busking ah, in a concert for handicapped), and they're some really really reallllly good musicians out there and they're so humble... it's awesome... and they're jokers too, can make fun of their own handicap self lol..

some of them can play more than one instrument very well too..

i think we not pro enough to busk lah lol

I like the old malay guy near tampines mrt who plays the sax. He should be fronting a bebop band in some smokey jazz bar and pulling in the $$$ and the ladies.

He was in the newspapers before. He's actually a session musician and has his sax tracks on many adverts and TV shows. Just that enjoys sitting there playing in his free time. Real nice guy.

Sometimes, when I'm in the mood, I feel like harmonising with the singer who's busking.
:\ then I feel sad because I can't.
