Hi,

Anyone has encountered any issues bringing in rosewood items?

I would like to get a neck from Warmoth with a rosewood fret board, wondering if i will face any issues with AVA on some CITES regulation?

As long as Warmoth supply the proper paperwork, then it should be ok. However, you should check with Warmoth first that they are going to do it, a company of their size really should but just be sure

Hi Whammy,

Thanks for the reply.

This is the reply from Warmoth

Our Rosewood is from India, and is "pre-convention". When we are fufilling an order outside the USA for a Rosewood neck, we provide the customer all export (CITES, protected plant species, etc.) documents that our company is required to obtain; however, we cannot acquire these documents until the neck is completed. This information will be emailed to you when the neck is finished and the documents finalized. After you give us the 'OK', we ship the neck with the physical paperwork.
