Any recommendations: Chorus + Delay pedal?

I was thinking of further downgrading (upgrading) my Boss Super Chorus CH1 + Digital Delay DD3 to a single modulation pedal. The DD3 is good enough for my needs but I often need to boost with CH1 to keep the sound warm.

What I'm looking at:
1) A long delay (400ms)
2) A short delay (100-200ms)
3) A chorus - (i won't need it if the short delay is warm-sounding enough).

Any recommendations? Preferably something small. Other than a VS H20 though. I tried that before... not enough repeats on the delay for my liking.

if you want to sell the dd3... contact me ;)

i dunno about chorus, but the RV3 is a pretty good deal. the reverb isn't all that good but it's decent enough for people not to notice at a gig.

Maxon AD-9 (Short Delay)
Maxon AD-999 (Long Delay)

If you don't mind ordering from States, I can suggest a few more.

i hate an RV3, DD3, DE7 here in my home Thor. Later on Sunday when you guys come down, you can check it out.

The RV3 is very good for extreme spaced out sounds but lackluster when it comes to shorter delays. Its reverb is just okay. The Holy Grail smokes it.

Get the hi cut mod done on your DD3? ;)

Oh yah, the DE7 just died today.. .haha! MAN! Just didn't work... ah well, going to swee lee for a swap. :) A pink one would rock in my rig...

erm... why not a visual sound H20?

sounds greeat!

dude, read the original post... "Other than a VS H20 though. I tried that before... not enough repeats on the delay for my liking."

i've heard the hi-cut mod in action - twice :) Doesn't keep the DD3 warm thou. :P

i don't know man. I just didn't really like the VS H20.

Anyone got comments on digital effects then? Line 6 DL4, Echo Park, EH pedals etc. (Though I'll have to cough blood to buy them. ouch.)

chrous is a really really short delay. Most delay can't go into that short region and have longer delay time. Another choice closer, but not really as a stand alone chorus is the EH deluxe memoryman. But the maximum delay timing is around 450ms-550ms...

Erm, i hate them? :) Tany, read again!

I have them because well, a SOFTie was nice enough to loan me his RV3 to test when I was on the hunt for a reverb pedal.

The DD3 was given to me. The DE7 i got from long time back.

A chorus is not just a short delay. A chorus is when the original signal is taken then modulated in pitch (i.e. slightly raised higher and/or lower) and added back to the original signal, but yes - a short delay can be added too in order to make the sound more expansive. The RV-5 has a 'modulation' setting that combines verb + chorus to make a nice warm and expansive sound good for clean picking of chords.

Actually, its pretty interesting to use delay as a doubler... set to like 50ms and a high level. the DE7 (echo mode) does it VERY well and its a super thick tone. Not very defined for chording or shredding, but it is nice to make a statement/theme.
