thinking of putting seymour duncan pick ups, 2 Alnico II Pro™ Staggered APS-1 and 1 Custom 5 humbucker.

The guitar will have a mahogany body and maple top, mahogany neck and pau ferro fretboard

of course : Fralin VH - neck middle and unbucker on bridge.. or Suhr FL neck mid or V60LP and DSV bridge.

I'm thinking of getting Tesla pick ups.

SSH,
Plasma RS-1 for neck
Plasma 1 for middle
Plasma FH-1 for bridge

What do you guys think?

Control knobs will be, Volume knob, tone knob and blend knob.

What would the blend knob do?

still deciding how to implement it.
I suppose it will blend how much of the bridge or neck (clock wise more bridge, anti clock wise more neck, middle is a balance of both) when 2 pick ups are connected.

i guess gotta depend on what kinda stuff u play too.
i'd probably go for something like Custom 5 (bridge), Aps-1, lil 59 for versatility. but thats just me..im a duncan person..wouldnt really get anything else =)

Might not be much of a tone option honestly. Have you used such a system before?

Btw - consider the Vigier Shawn Lane model wiring:
1: Neck
2: Neck + Middle (parallel)
3: Neck + Bridge (parallel)
4: Middle + Bridge
5: Bridge

You get the much nicer sounding position 3 of Neck + Bridge straightway. Might not have a need for the blend.

Consider a Creation Audio Labs Redeemer buffer circuit. Rob Balducci uses it on his LACS white saber... he has a youtube video demo-ing it. It's a good circuit and I use it too. Might be a viable alternative to that blend switch.
