I'm visiting Singapore soon looking to find teaching work at a music school, for when I relocate up there permanently around March 2005.
Was just wondering if there are any teachers on their forums who can share their experiences of working at private music schools, how they found work, got started, etc..
So far, I've been in contact with a few schools (some listed here on S.O.F.T) with my background/qualifications/experience. Some have written back requesting a meeting with me for when I visit Singapore. These include Yamaha and Echo Music.
From their websites, a lot of schools seem like very exciting places to work at, with different individual and group courses. The schools which specialise in Pop and Jazz appeal to me more, and Band training is something I'd love to get involved in too.
