Any experimental/post-rock bands here?

yes come all ye wretched and bullshittin!!! we wants choo!!!

anyways for the record can i just opine politely that post-rock, at least in the form we know it nowsaday, is hardly experimental ???

chill? interesting..........most interesting.......and postrockers are thus sensitive new age guyz?

yeah we rikes rost pock 'cause dem chixdiggit!!!! keep scalin those superflous highs y'all!!!

the uncle with an erhu that used to be at Tampines MRT in the morning circa 2000 was pretty experimental.

also during then the blind malay uncle that played free jazz at Tampines MRT was ultra kool.

I saw the PRC pipa before not too postrock thought and before that the didgeridoo player in the same tunnel but way earlier but the random gong dude I is not seen.

I kinda rikes that blind lady who sings near the Heeren traffict light but that ain't post rock too... however, when I assisted a blind guy crossing the road, he was asking a lot a lot of questions about that lady... not just questions but competitive like kinda questions.

Is she playing keyboards? Is she alone? Wots she using? MP3? MP4? Where the music come out from?

now that was a hur hur hur moment

At least, you were an industrial spy...

When I helpch a blind dude home once (in my faltering moments to be altrustic), he started asking me about my family and all...

And started telling me about his girlfriends. Yes, 2 at the same time. And how they were absolute bitches. And how he had sex with them. Separately, I presume. And how horny they were... Blah blah blah...

So thanks to him, I've a keener insight to the sex lives of the visually challenged...

Thanks for the plug on IADS , bro AgingYouth bro. :)

Yes, what we call post-rock nowzasday can hardly be called experimental. even post-rock has its many different subgenres/offshoots... math-rock, post-metal, free-jazz, drone, sludge, noise etc etc

and also the line between electronica and your "traditional" postrock (ala EITS) gets blurrer too.

I like this quote from an article in THINK mag online:

"Being wholly wrapped in pure, unadulterated guitar noise is a wonderful thing. The music consumes you with unbounded emotions. Even without any verbal articulation, it speaks volumes. With deafening effect, it whispers into your ear tragic tales of broken hearts, near-death experiences and existential catastrophes. As you close your eyes and tilt your head upwards, it cleanses you with hope; makes you feel alive. It lifts you up. Off the ground."

:)
