any drum substitutes?

something that can emulate the real thing...a drum kit... easy to take arnd... does not cost much... anyone has bright ideas?

definitely not looking at electronic drum kits btws...

When you're talking about emulating an acoustic sound while keeping it portable and small, I think the only thing left is electronics.

Had a 4 piece integrated drum kit a while back. Bought from yamaha dimensions of a keyboard and about 20cm thick. Electronic of course.

OMG you wan to replace drummers? and you ask this in a drummer's forum section.! haha joking. i think you can try programs like guitar pro. they have dum tracks there. kinda accurate sometimes..
