Analog Chorus Recomendation

I see. Pardon my quick judgment, I had felt that when watching through a few Youtube demos. Hehe. Well well, gonna really seek and try out a CS9, Small Clone, Rocktron Tsunami, and of cause both the CE-2 and CE-3.

Its important to have references when doing so.

If possible, always have an a/b comparison.

Choose places that have a variety of choruses so you can place them side by side.

I can tell you - I never thought the CE-2 was a warm sounding chorus till I had the opportunity to try it beside other choruses. All I had before was review and words - praising its "warmth" but I just never really understood it.

And if you want to nail a tone from some song/album - look up the guy's gear. Easiest way about it. If any part of the gear equation is hard to get/rare/discontinued/too expensive, then just fill in as many blanks as possible, and go do your a/b.

the CE-2 yes is a really solid pedal. The other guitarist in my band has it in his board, vintage chorus sounds, like those found in the Roland JC120s, my fav amp.

If you something fatter and more lush sounding though, try the small clone, the analogman chorus (remembered being amazed by luqman's one at ebenex) or the new Visual Sound V2 chorus. These are good for those who prefer lush chorusing on cleans. You can get some pretty experimental sounds with these when used with dirt though, just dont have high expectations on clarity.
