anyone noes where i can find one?? your help is greatly appreciated!
thanks:D

When you get there, be sure to play the DUHAST with other drive pedals.

Comparisons are always nice... and revealing.

thanks so much guys for the help :D
i just heard a soundclip of AMT British Sound, it sounds quite good to me..
but i dont think ebenex have it cos its not on their webbie.. hmmmmm

i think i saw 1 at ebenex b4. try calling them to ask haha

Well, either way, do try other drive units too.

Like a Tech21 GT-2.

I don't think the AMT pedals sound very good.

i went to ebenex recently to get a distortion...
tried out 2 amt pedals, one is the british one and the other is another marshall-voiced type of distortion.

both didnt sound good to me too... i abed them with rocktron's rampage and metal muff, and i ended up with the metal muff :)

haha i went to get a Marshall like chug chug pedal but the Green one(british voice?) wasnt sharp/trebly enuff so i got a Krank Dist instead.. works well both ways

Soldi, have you tried the older Krank Distortus Maximus pedals? Those from the 1st batch or so?

They sound quite a bit different from the current bunch... in fact, I found the current DMs to sound like the typical bad example of a metal drive - thin, buzzy and overly bright. The older ones, woah... like a raging bull on a guitar!!!!

AMT du hast from ebenex for 170 i think... i picked my metal muff in a comparison VS this pedal, it rocks if you have a bright sounding guitar.

It depends on what kinda sound you'r looking for. Try the California Sound, you'll be surprised. I managed to tweak a super nice petrucci tone from it.

BTW KeithC, the British Sound is meant to emulate a Marshall, so i think you may be talking about a different pedal.

Some may find amt pedals a little too blunt sounding compared to more trebly pedals(think metalzone) but i have my EQ pedal handy....:)

I like the metal muff too but the Top Boost is not my cup of tea....

nope . just noticed it when i bought it at ebenex. the volume is quite low though .
i stack it with my Fulltone OCD with Vol at 9 gain 9 and tone 12... my krank's vol would need to be 4 clock for it to be the same volume =/ . but i get a really nice dist that i want after that.

the noise can kill if my ns-2 is off =/

I have the AMT British Sound n it`s really Marshall sounding n sounds good, and I took it further by combining it with a Ibanez TS7 Tubescreamer..n the distortion sounds even better..the high knob on the BS pedal is at 9 o clock most of the time as I find out tat anything beyond tat is too trebly n harsh sounding....I adjust the distortion sounds via my guitar`s volume knob.

I think the key is to experiment n see which one u prefer..:)

With this AMT British Sound/Ibanez TS7 Tubescreamer combo, I can nail those classic rock tones..no problem!

: )
