Amps...

i've heard a blackheart little giant with a 1x12 cab at full volume. its bloody loud. yeah i've nvr heard a 50watt solid state amp at full volume so i apologise for making assumptions.

logically, tube amps usually give about twice as much output as their solid state equivalents: E.g a 15 watt tube amp will be as loud or louder than a 30 watt ss amp.

The main advantage of tubes i find are that at louder volumes, they tend to break up and that gives a very musical singing compression to your sound. Something that ss amps cant really give you. In fact most transistor amps sound harsher the more they are pushed, but they dont break up as easily and some players prize them for their clarity, like Dimebag and his SS Randalls.
