Amplify acoustic guitar using headphones. Awesome for recording.

I always knew you could use headphones as a mic if you really really need to, but I never thought it would be good enough for recording!

I often use my headphones (Technics RPDJ 1210, same ones that I use for DJing) on an acoustic guitar, by clamping them on the box, and plugging the 1/4" jack into a mic input of a mixer / active speaker. It gives amazing sound, awesome volume, decent clarity and no feedback (unless you act silly and turn it too loud while sitting right in front of the speaker)

While it's not as good as a dedicated semi-electric guitar, it sounds MUCH much better than just miking up a guitar. And I'm sure it'll sound a zillion times better if recorded this way + 1 condenser mic, each panned to one side, for an awesome stereophonic effect.

Thought I'd share this with you, since those who do home-recording like me may love to experiment with the idea.
