Bought this ampeg amp off Ebay Usa and modded it to our local incoming voltage after learning that it was possible on the web... ONLY ATTEMPT THIS IF YOU ARE A TRAINED ELECTRICAL TECH!
Amp was in relatively good condition, survived the shipping...well..almost!
Power cord replaced with local 3 Pin plug. Fuse needs to be changed to 5A slow blow type.
Top panel removed... innards of the amp... some connectors had came loose during shipping.
1st problem after modding transformer wiring and power on, front panel power led not lighted up - found transformer connector disconnected, i had noticed this but wasn't sure if it was in use cos it completely came off.
2nd problem - after reconnecting the transformer connector, no output volume to cab - found pre amp tubes not glowing, loose power connector to pre amp Pcb
Tools needed: Soft copy of power supply schematic on pc, long nosed plier to remove transformer connectors, and a notebook to take note of which wiring was moved and it's original connections!
