Hey Soft-ies!

I have a Roland Cube 30X at home.

but some people say that the Line 6 Spider II 75Watts is way better.

should i stick to my Roland And just buy some pedals or should i get the Line 6???

can you tell me your suggestions?

Thanks!

jus stick to it. id be reli happy if i have the 30x, too bad i only have the 20x.

get the boss gt8/gt10 and youre good to go.

I don't know about mixing effects boards with digital amps, the last time I tried it sounded really crap(lack of a better word), plus it's pretty pointless. I'd skip the Spider II, it's like paying more money for something that isn't all that much more spectacular. The 30X has some decent tones if played at a slightly higher volume. Unless you want to really go up a notch, get a tube amp, but if not, stick to the 30X.

Thanks!

Thanks! For your suggestions.

I think i'll stick with the 30x

btw, any suggestions on pedals??

i play Both Rock And Metal.

Is the Boss DS-2 Pedal good??

could you tell me your suggestions ?

Thanks!

why do u like sound so desperate in ur thread title? like some emergency. =.-" and wrong section.

stick to the cube. the spider II is much better, if any.

Why do you need an effects pedal for a Cube 30X? The R-Fier modelling is pretty good for Metal and Rock. Adding a pedal will make it sound worse. I suggest trying out a pedal with the amp first before actually getting one.

try orange amp!!
since yamaha plaza singh got sales now..
i am thinking of a 10 watt orange amp...
170 dollar at ps yamaha there =]

But...

Thanks for you suggestions guys!

i think i'll stick with the 30X.

anw,
the reason i want a pedal, because i would play songs that need to change from clean to distortion.

Like "All These Things I Hate Revolve Around Me" By "Bullets For My Valentine".

Any suggestions???

i was thinking of a Boss DS-2. Is it good?

Actually no. i havent heard of foot switch till now.

because i saw my friend, was on clean and he step on a DS-2 (i think) and it changes to distortion.

since then, i taught that i need a distortion pedal just to do that.

anyway,

can you guys recommend me any good foot switch??? must not be expensive as i have a budget under $100.

could you explain to me about foot switch and if any of you see people selling 2nd hand foot switch on soft, could you give me the link?

thanks!

okay, i had just finish searching for a foot switch.

now i understand it.

anw,

i came up with 2 decisions.

should i get the,

-Boss FS-5L Footswitch (Latch Type)

Or The

-Boss FS-6 Dual Footswitch

i was thinking, i rarely use the efx. so why should i think of the FS-6??

If i get the FS-5L, can i still use my efx when i'm using the foot switch??

example:
I use the foot switch to change to Lead, can i juz turn on the Efx on my amp and use the Efx??

Can it work like this???

hmm,thats not how it works.

you plug your guitar into the input or the amp
you can connect your efx in between your guitar and amp
or connect them in the efx loop.you connect YOUR FOOTSWTICH at the FOOTSWITCH jack, not the front end,
but thats only if your amp is footswitch compatible.

I wouldn't recommend a footswitch if I didn't already know that there is a footswitch for the 30X, jmb23.

Taken from Roland website - "Option: Foot Switch (BOSS FS-5U, FS-6)"

Both FS5 and 6 models are compatible with the Cube 30X. I believe there are models that allow you to activate either the effects as well as the overdrive selection. I owned a Cube 20X before some long time ago, I think it's very well possible.
