Well most ppl/artiste generaly use marshall for several reasons! ive tried many amp but not a fender one yet! the reason i use a marshall myself is cos i like the crunch and the juice u can sqeeze from a Marshall!

dats juz my .2c Worth!

its all up to ur taste and liking!

hv fun experimenting!
Cheers!

actually ...

i wld suggest getting a modelling amp... and when u know roughly wad kind of tones u lookin for.. den invest in a good one..

hmz IMO solid state amps are generally the same.. isnt it? if you are not 100% satisfied den either get urself a eq pedal or a tube amp to satisfy your need..If its juz for home practicing, it is all the same.. but.. i'll go for a VOX if i were to choose..

I'll get a pod + stereo rackmount power amp like those Alesis RA100 + a 2 x 12 cab rewired as stereo if I were to do everything again.

I've tried a few digital modelling amps/brannds but sad to say none of the presets actually comes close to emulating the characteristics of real thing e.g Marshall Superleads, Mesa Rectifiers, Soldanos, etc etc. Maybe I'm a tube purists lol.

Which ones did you have luck with?

Hmm.

Vox AD50VT

fookin' loud, fookin' fantastic sound.
+1
Vox valvetronix gives the best quality for their prices. Seriously unbeatable... Marshall and fender amps each have its own strengths though, although i would prefer a marshall

+1000

Vox Valvetronix, the warmest modeling amp have I ever heard.

with their pre amp tube technology, no other modeling amp comes close.

but good for the 50W one if its within ur budget, put on the AC30 and make magic!

i already hav a modelling amp..the ZOOM Fire-15...but im not satisfied...thought of gotting simplier amps...dun want tt much technology in my amp..sounds so processed...
